SPARROWVOLT / RETAIL CHECKS

How retailer price and availability checks work

Published retailer details come from a saved product page checked when a SparrowVolt owner requests a refresh. Each result is a dated snapshot, not a live feed.

01

A source is saved

The SparrowVolt owner saves a retailer product-page URL for a listing. That saved page is the source for its check.

02

The owner starts a refresh

When the owner starts a refresh, SparrowVolt reads the saved page for that check. Pages are not checked in the background.

03

Each fact needs evidence

The listed product must match. Price and availability are verified separately against evidence on the retailer page.

Only supported facts are updated

SparrowVolt updates a price or availability only when evidence from the saved retailer page supports that fact for the listed product. The two facts are checked separately; if one cannot be verified, that fact keeps its saved value.

If the page cannot be read, or the check verifies neither fact, the saved facts and recorded check time stay unchanged.

The retailer handles the purchase

Retailer checkout, purchases, and their terms are handled by the retailer. SparrowVolt does not control retailer checkout, purchases, or refund policies, and does not sell or refund retailer items. Visit the retailer’s product page for current prices, availability, and applicable terms.
